Recognition of our need for Salvation
There can be no salvation until there is first the awareness and conviction of sin.
Until we recognize we are lost, we won’t fully understand God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.
Are you:
Lost and confused:
The reason you cannot find meaning in life, is that you are separated from God.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not
Never satisfied – Is Your Soul Thirsty – Spirit Hungry?
We (our soul and spirit) hunger for something more.
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Lack joy and fulfillment?
True contentment isn’t found in things, people or circumstances, it can only be discovered in our convictions.
True Contentment is ONLY found with God.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where unto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Christs power, purpose and provision are sufficient for every circumstance.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
